American Dream

This is exaclty the kind of bands we showcase a World-Class Vocliast with World-Class Guitar Hero’s Guitar playing. True Artist who worked there whole life to make Hard Rock/Heavy Metal art that will survive the test of time, and will sound just as awesome today when it first was unleashed on Planet Metal original on January 1st 2015. And I just have to say the Piano Playing on “Two Men, One Choice” is very powerful and well written, Kelly Maglia as a singer/band/song-writer knows how to make everything BOMBASTIC, and with perfect undestanding of song-writing dynamics, all the songs sound 110% KICK •ASS and BAD •ASS !!!!!!!!

I had to checked the METALLIC BIBLES

&

I was expecting to see something, a review, a write-up, or a news announcement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And whoa…..!!!  I sure hope Rita & Toine van Poorten are doing okay, there quarterly CD reviews are due soon, just hope there on vacation and everything is ok with those guys…!!! As a fan of this style of Hard Rock / Heavy Metal since day 1 With Van Halen “Van Halen” debut album in 1978….!!! This extended play meets and exceeds all of my expectations.

That GUITAR TONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lzzyhalemettallicaridethelightningcover987987978978978978978987978978

RIDE THE LIGHTING ALL THE WAY …..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly Maglia “Just Rough Enough” will satisfy all your hard rock/ heavy metal metallic addiction needs, this is one of those CD’s, that you can play all day, for a week straight and for a month, and it always sounds fresh and powerful.

Kelly Maglia as a World-Class Vocalist belongs in these pages just as much as her role models, inspirations, and influences. I consider Kelly Maglia’s personal influences / inspirations her peer group when it comes to World-Class Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal…!!!!

Whoa were to file this CD in between Heavy Rotations of say between Mötley Crüe “To Fast for Love” , Edge of Paradise “Mask” and Halestorm’s “Into the Wild Life” .

To bad publications like Hit Parader, Circus, Metal Forces, Metal Rendev-ous are not around any more this for sure would of been in there pages without a doubt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said with Metal Maidens webZine. Either they are on Sabbatical

BIO

Metal has a new maiden with Kelly Maglia. Kelly not only channels the best of 80s glam metal (think Skid Row and Heart had a love child), but she does it with a Cirque du Soleil twist. Motley Crue may have thrown dollar bills at girls, girls, girls, but Kelly takes the pole back and enters the scene as a new kind of Heavy Metal Goddess: singer, acrobat and musician all at once.

From Marshall Scholar to Heavy Metal Goddess, Kelly has always been an overachiever. Besides being a triple threat (singer, dancer, theatrical performer), Kelly is also a highly sought after celebrity costume designer. Kelly’s creations have appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, Dance Moms and Ex Wives of Rock. She has has costumed Maddie Ziegler and rising star Asia Money Ray. Kelly brings her expertise as a visual artist to her own live shows for an experience you won’t forget.

Kelly Maglia’s music is a unique blend of metal and hard rock. And like many of her musical idols – Heart, Pat Benatar, Skid Row, Aerosmith, and Mötley Crüe – her music often flirts dangerously with pop… Kelly Maglia is a one-of-a-kind rock singer who incorporates pole dancing, contortion and acrobatics as part of her live show.  You can even catch Kelly rocking out on a pole with a guitar.

Kelly’s vocal style runs the gamut from semi-classical to gritty belting. She even trained as a coloratura soprano at university before turning her attention to popular music.

She also has a deep passion for the electric guitar and makes sure that each of her songs features this glorious instrument. Here, you’ll find the gritty and driving rhythm guitar work of her producer Alex Williamson and the lead guitar wizardry of Jess P. Tzimas.

The new EP, Just Enough Rough, is now available as a digital download or CD in the Kelly’s Closet Shop.

Kelly is set to take the metal world by storm with her high-octane theatrical shows and over-the-top costumes. Kelly’s live shows feature pole dancers, contortionists, and acrobats who light up the stage in Kelly’s original designs.

July 2015 Kelly rocked the Whisky A Go Go at Battle of the Bands for Cathouse Live. The contest was judged by celebrity Headbanger Riki Rachtman and DJ Will of KNAC. Music Enthusiast Magazine said, “Kelly Maglia uniquely featured a sound that could be affectionately interpreted as the love child of Skid Row and Heart. Propelled by operatic vocals, grooving riffs, and accelerating percussion, Kelly Maglia took the stage by storm with few apologies.”

Kelly Maglia’s Tale a Bio ….!!!!!!!!

Back in the day, I was in the closet. Behind my frizzy hair, glasses, and straight-A report card, I was a secret headbanger. And behind the closed doors of my comfortable bedroom, I in my comfortable suburban home, I furtively pressed “play”… And what poured from my cassette player? Skid Row, Guns and Roses, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Ratt, Heart, Pat Benatar – oh, and a pinch of Metallica.

All the while I rocked on the sly, I kept my headbanging secret safe from my parents and over-achiever friends. And yet, as the invevitable march of time wore on, it was my lingering anger over the disappearance of mainstream metal, and the long, slow realization that growing up and being responsible wasn’t all it was cracked up to be that led me to long for the music I had loved in my youth – music that was as fun and irresponsible as it was powerful.

And suddenly I thought, “It’s time.” After doing the “right” thing with myself for over a decade – oh, you know, winning a British Marshall Scholarship and studying in London and then founding 2 successful costume companies – I turned my attention to MAKING the music I had loved so much in my youth.

I decided it was time to put those latent Bachelor’s Degrees in Classical Voice and English Literature to good use. Add that to my newly-found love of artistic pole dancing, and a new archetype is born. If Motley Crue had thrown dollar bills at girls, girls, girls, I was becoming an guitar-wielding singer AND pole dancer – a new kind of Heavy Metal Goddess. And not unlike a phoenix rising from the pillar of my responsible adult life – I found my both my voice AND my wings.
