January 21st. 2017. Last night was the Video Primer release party ,  for the Bloodline Riot “Betrayed” VIDEO.  And I saw a lot of music press there.  Cool I am done…!! phew..!!!  No just kidding, I am a fan of those publications, so I am looking forward to reading their concert reviews and write-up on this event. I seen 6 different publications there. I got to meet some of the others in the music press. I meet writers for the National Rock Review. A publication that I am a huge fan of. I will be searching the interweb and the Facebook for photos and videos of this event, and will add them to this article later.

Even if there are going to be tons of articles on this event later in this week or later in the month, It is just never that easy, because if 6 companies see the other 6 companies there, and just like whoa, cool the other dudes will write this review, and then well nothing gets done….But this SPECIFIC concert review got pushed up to OUR #1 PRIORITY, because of the fact of the subject matter of what KICK ASS METAL does….!!!

If you look in the upper left hand corner it says WORLD-CLASS HEAVY METAL, and Bloodline Riot is a Modern Hard Rock Band with Heavy Metal Influences, to create their own one-a-kind signature sound and style.

When I hear Bloodline Riot play LIVE and when they are on my CD Player. I hear, that is Dan Greer, that is Jason Caine, that is Eric Vancil and that is Romie Burford. I know their distinctive sound, right away.

Bloodline Riot, are top-notch, song-writers, and each member of Bloodline Riot are true virtuoso’s at their respective instruments . Bloodline Riot are Top notch song-writers and World-Class Musicians ….!!  On the LIVE FRONT Bloodline Riot excels in this area, each member has total confidence, charisma and stage presence. I have seen Bloodline Riot around a half a dozen times, I see them every time the come to the TOKEN LOUNGE, it is just the closest venue to either our Dearborn or Westland, Michigan offices. And last night was just one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen, the band was on fire and the stage show was awesome! Bloodline Riot are just one of the best bands around in nowadays on PLANET METAL.  And easily one of the greatest shows on earth not just in the rock and metal genres but in all of music !!!

Half way through the concert there was a Jason Caine guitar solo….!! I seen thousands upon thousands of bands live, I buy my houses close as possible to my favorite concert theatres. And last nights guitar solo was top-notch from this World-Class Guitarist. Bloodline Riot HAS 2 KICK ASS METAL HALL OF FAME RECORDINGS on our Greatest of all-time best of the best list. The 2012 “Keys and Clockwork” Extended Play and January 21st, 2017 Betrayed “single”.

Bloodline Riot is a GOLD STANDARD artist here on Planet Metal. The GOLD STANDARD  is a noun and it is defined as the best, most reliable, or most prestigious thing of its type. And in this case were talking about hard rock/heavy metal music.

Our writing style @ KICK ASS METAL is two-fold . To let the fans of World-Class Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal who the artist are, so you can build a record collection that will last you the rest of your life, hand it down to a successor and then the children passing down the record collection to the grand children. And the second part is inter connected to let every musician on planet metal to know the GOLD STANDARD, because your art will is RIGHT NOW judged against Edge of Paradise, Bloodline Riot, going all the way back to Randy Rhodes-era Ozzy Osbourne all the way to back to Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.

The 3rd part of our writing style is for each band we consider legendary i.e. World renowned we look for a predecessor and successor for each artist. So there are no obvious glaring omission from the part of your collection that is called foundational/essential /fundamental

Objectively were big fans of Bloodline Riot, (the top 100/ top 150/ top 500 artist, are inter connected, by the SAME EXACT set of influences and inspirations…. Subjectively Bloodline Riot whip’s us into a frenzy, and our minds are blown, jaws are on the floor in awe…..awesome…. and chills up and down the spine….!!!

Half way through the concert the scene dropped and the Bloodline Riot “Video” premiered. And it will be released next week….!!! After seeing this video, I am glad, I bought 10 copies of this song on CD “Single”.

Bloodline Riot “Betrayed” right now is in the running for VIDEO of the year….And last night was easily a top 25/ top 10 concert I have ever attended. Bloodline Riot has perfect song-writing balance and each instrument is heard perfectly with perfect intonation. And each member of the band, is just a World-Class musician. Bloodline Riot are the best song-writers with the most distinctive songs, and virtuosity that is second to none!!! It is just like I said with Los Angeles, California’s “Edge of Paradise” it is just a case of the 4 best musician in the state in this case Michigan in the same band!!

Much like the Legendary Phoenix, Kings In Pieces have risen from the post industrial ash of Detroit’s Rock Scene with a smoldering, burning drive to bring Rock and Roll back from the brink of desolation worldwide. Compared to many, second to none, Kings In Pieces are a bass driven machine, fueled by guitars and ignited by percussive rhythms. This machine is crowned with the roar of a lion and the chorus of brotherhood. Kings In Pieces have issued a call to arms to protect the crown while restoring order to Rock. Rise up, usher in the reign of a new crown.
Unified by vocalist and lead guitarist Jimmy Pecor, bassist Johnny LaRose, guitarist Jeff Peters . Kings In Pieces was formed within the outskirts of Detroit, Michigan, in 2007.
In late 2008, Kings In Pieces relocated to Nashville Tennessee and was altruistically welcomed in “Music City”. Quenching the yen of Nashville’s rock scene, K.I.P. was the second most requested band of the area in just three months after their arrival. Kings In Pieces also received nominations for “Best New Artist,” “People’s Choice,” and “Band of the Year” in 2008/2009 for the Nashville Buzz Awards, and again in 2009/20010 for The Nashville Independent Music Awards. Priding themselves on their critically acclaimed live performances, K.I.P has shared the stage with many National Touring Bands and Recording Artist.

In 2011 after finishing their EP “Lies To Abide By”, Kings In Pieces returned to the “Motor City”. The Band took sometime off, in 2012 to regroup and song write, playing the occasional festival or concert. In late 2013 K.I.P returned to the studio to begin work on the album “The Lion’s Share” at The Sound Shop in Macomb Michigan with Kevin Wesley Williams. In 2014 Kings In Pieces have returned with renewed vigor and a new attitude. Once again, performing amazing live shows throughout Michigan and surrounding areas. The Album “The Lion’s Share” is available on I-Tunes as of March 1st 2014.

IN SHORT, SOOT IS BACK IN ACTION! SOOT Detonates a Sonic Boom in your head with thick layers of molten guitar riffs as the vocals literally dive out of the speakers. The band has one of the most dynamic and intense live performances ever. In the past they have been nominated for Outstanding Hard Rock/Metal Group at the Detroit Music Awards, but SOOT is a force to be reckoned with. Also in 2005, JEZTER was awarded Outstanding Rock/Pop Vocalist and nominated for Outstanding Blues/R&B Instrumentalist for harmonica.

SOOT is currently working on new material and performing in Michigan. To date, the band has five full-length studio albums, two live albums, and is part of two compilation CD’s (“Motor City Meltdown” and “2005 Detroit Music Award Nominees”). Besides the music, the band also has many music videos, two of which were nominated for Outstanding Video at the 2005 Detroit Music Awards, and a live DVD.

SOOT has packed in the houses at such venues as The Magic Bag, St. Andrew’s Hall, The Blind Pig, Royal Oak Music Theater, and countless more. The band has performed with a variety of acts from Fishbone to The Byrds to The Wailers. SOOT has also made numerous radio appearances throughout Michigan and Ohio and is currently working on an early 2017 release with a new lineup.

Bloodline Riot is a band formed to bring together the influences of their previous bands, explore new horizons & to release their heavier inner demons. Bloodline Riot was formed by members from 3 different prominent Rock bands in the Detroit area. “The idea was to find the best members from bands that we respected & that had made an impact musically. It was also important that we all had the same positive outlook, work-ethic & drive to take Bloodline Riot as far as possible.”, says guitarist Jason Caine.

Upon the complete formation of the band, Bloodline Riot set out with a plan of action to make their strategy a reality. The first song that Bloodline Riot had written, “Burn” was soon recorded at the Loft Studios in Saline, MI with producer Andy Patalan (Taproot, Sponge) & mixed & mastered by Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Trust Company) at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI. The song was immediately put into rotation on 88.7FM (CIMX Windsor/Detroit) as well as spread throughout the country to internet radio stations. “Coming from different bands, we were fortunate that there was some buzz going on as to what we were up to. People were very curious to hear what the end product of these 3 different bands collaborating would sound like. 88.7FM has been supportive since day one, & we were very fortunate to see “Burn” winning contests for Most Requested on various radio stations around the country.” says Caine.

Based on the success of “Burn”, Bloodline Riot pushed forward full-throttle to record their independently released EP, “Keys and Clockwork” with producer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Trust Company, Saving Abel, etc.) at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI during the Winter of 2011/2012. Showcasing Bloodline Riot’s diversity in the Active Rock genre, “Keys and Clockwork” provides a template of strong hooks, songwriting & lyrical content as well as musical chops. “Musically, we want to write music that makes you want to drive fast, move your body or have sex.” Caine laughs and continues, “When our singer joined the band, he brought in some very deep & meaningful lyrics that really bring an emotional context to the music. If you listen to his lyrics, not only will you find something you can relate to, but they will make you think about your life & what you may be able to do to make it better. Combining these elements, you get the thrust of what Bloodline Riot is about.”

Keeping the pace at non-stop, Bloodline Riot won the Ernie Ball/Best Buy Music Gear Battle of the Bands in Aug ’11, and earned a slot on the Rockstar Uproar Festival Detroit line-up at DTE Energy Theater to play with Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet for my Valentine, Escape the Fate, Sevendust, Black Tide, Art of Dying & Hell or Highwater. The band has also shared the stage with nationals such as Drowning Pool, Buckcherry, Scott Stapp (Creed), Taproot, Fuel, Nonpoint, Soil, Powerman5000, Dope, Saliva, Saving Abel, Otherwise, Tantric, 12 Stones, James Durbin (American Idol), The Dreaming (feat. Stabbing Westward vocalist Chris Hall) & more.

Bloodline Riot was selected twice to be featured during the 89X radio Motor City Minute at Joe Louis Arena. The first time during the Detroit Red Wings vs Calgary Flames Hockey game at Joe Louis Arena on Wed Nov 23 2011. Their single, “Burn” was showcased during the second period intermission cut to a video and presented on the Jumbotron. See the video on the official Red Wings Website here ( ) .Their latest single, “Pendulum” was selected to be featured during the Red Wings vs Blue Jackets game on Mon Mar 26 2012.

Bloodline Riot was nominated for 6 Detroit Music Awards for 2012 including Best Hard Rock/Metal Group, Best Rock/Pop Recording for “Burn”, Best Live Performance & member Jason Caine has been nominated for the 2nd year for both Outstanding Rock/Pop Instrumentalist & Rock/Pop Songwriter, as well as singer Michael Hughes being nominated for Outstanding Rock/Pop Vocalist.

In addition, Bloodline Riot was named as one of 89x Radio’s “Best of 2011”, an honor given to the most requested, most played, & biggest songs of the year, with bands such as Pop Evil, Chiodos, I See Stars. They also won the Banana 101.5FM Flint-Town Throwdown Round 3 & 17, competing against other regional bands, garnering their singles, “Burn” & “Gemini” rotation on the radio station.

Throughout the course of the band, Bloodline Riot has obtained and is currently endorsed by companies such as Spector Basses, Wornstar Clothing, Krank Amplification, Sennheiser, Sinister Guitar Picks, Wicked Hammer Energy Drink, Soultone Cymbals & XOX Audio Tools. “Bloodline Riot is a band that will impress and excite fans of the Detroit music scene just on the merits of it’s individual members, but also proves itself with an end result that exceeds the sum of its parts. From powerful, frantic drum beats to the jolting screech of pristine guitar riffs, all melding masterfully with intense, soaring vocals, the Riot will get under your skin and bring out the best that Hard Rock has to offer. Try not to destroy anything…important.”

– Mathew Cromwell (The Oakland Press -Aug 19, 2011)

“Bloodline Riot sent a track, “Burn”, to us via email, and it’s pretty damned good. Very “contemporary metal”, and there’s nothing wrong with that when the tune is this good.”

“Bloodline Riot’s music has a great combination of melodic verses, meshed with a pounding backbeat that keeps you energized throughout all of the tunes. There is a certain versatility to their sound that has a bit of something for the metal fan, while at the same time finding some pleasing choruses for the fan of more progressive sounding rock.”

“If you are looking for impressive solos and catchy, heavy guitar riffs, all the tracks on Keys and Clockwork offer a complete mix. Heart pounding rock anthems coupled with an arena rock sound…”
