All the top 100 actual heavy metal albums for the year 2016 in the true / traditional / actual / extreme heavy metal genre, category have been listen to via, purchases,  promos for review.

I have to say 2016 is one of my favorite years in heavy metal since I started as a fan back in The Summer of 1978. It rivals personal favorite years such as 1983, 1985, 1990,1991,1994,1999,2000,2001.

This publication deal with two GOLDEN AGES IN HEAVY METAL the era of October 1981- October 1986, and the era from February 1994-June 2004. Every style has a golden age for around 9 years, but our primary focus on the actual GOLD STANDARD OF HEAVY METAL, and our coverage is slanted towards GOTHIC/AVANT-GARDE METAL, and were up on THRASH METAL and are fans of the DEATH METAL age. Which Started in July 1990 and I still going strong if not stronger, that the first 2 eras of DEATH METAL.

 

There were tons of artist how released GODLY and HEAVY METAL HALL OF FAME ALBUMS in the year 2016.

Nervosa had some strong competition from Abnormality “Mechanisms of Omniscience”, Attacker “Sins of the World”, Darkness “The Gasoline Solution”, but it came down to Prika Amaral has a BAD*ASS and KICK*ASS guitar tone, and Fernanda Lira is ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL SOUNDING VOCALIST not just in THRASH METAL, but all of Heavy Metal…!!!!

 

What Historians will be talking about in the HEAVY METAL HISTORY BOOKS in decades, quarter centuries, centuries, to come, is that in 2016 The #1 Ranked / Rated Thrash Metal vocalist and the # 1 Ranked Death Metal Vocalist both released TOP 100 HEAVY METAL ALBUMS OF ALL-TIME in the same year, making 2016 one of the strongest years and most intense years in heavy metal since 1983 at least for me.

Because we could not get enough of the KILLER GUITAR tone, and Razor sharp riffs of Prika Amaral. When was the last time the greatest thrash metal vocalist went up against the greatest death metal vocalist.????1983/1984/1985 are examples that quickly come to mind…BUT NERVOSA and ABNORMALITY are the GOLD STANDARD in the real world/real life, in the DEATH METAL AGE of today…!!!!!! As a heavy metal fan for going on 40 years, I am thinking ahead to the 22nd and 23rd centuries. Why think 150 years ahead when you can think 700 years ahead towards the future of RIFF BASED HEAVY METAL

Nervosa is everyday listening @ the KICK*ASS*METAL offices alongside Razor “Exectioners’ Song” and Exodus “Bonded By Blood”. If we have to lose 3 hours of sleep to get our metal addiction of thrashing metal mayhem, then we do…!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

There has never been a bad year in the heavy metal genre. For ever band that switches genres, (from metal to alternative * metal to avant-garde * metal to pop metal) there are hundreds of thousands artist WILL ALWAYS stay true to their artistic vision, that is all their own…!!!

For those not up on thrash metal it is all the rage @ the KICK*ASS*METAL offices in 2014 Nervosa was the 2nd band in heavy metal history to win BOTH the debut album of the year as well as the 2014 HEAVY METAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR, the last time that feat happened in our history the actual heavy metal history, was in 2005 with the GODLY Crucified Barbara album “In Distortion We Trust”
