I started with Heavy Metal in the the Summer of 1978, and by the Summer of 1980, I was already into the heavier sprectrum of heavy metal, with Tygers of Pan Tangs “Wild”

When it comes to all-time favorite bands from the 1980’s obviously Motörhead, was the heaviest and fast band around. Then in December 15, 1981.  Mötley Crüe unleashed on Planet Metal the all-time class “Too Fast For Love” on Leathür Records. They were a favorite band of mine until I discovered the Metallica “No Life ‘Til Leather” Demo.

metallicanolifetilleathurdemojuly211982

What I really loved about the Metallica “No Life ‘Til Leather” Demo was the James Hetfield sounded like a perfect cross-between Mötley Crüe Vince Neil and Diamond Head’s Sean Harris. So as true metal maniac with insane metallic fanaticism,

diamoneheadseanharrismetallegend99898967678565675756jpg

I saw the link between Led Zepplin to Diamond Head to Metallica…just a perfect line of successor’s, Diamond Head was a successor to Led Zepplin for only 2 albums and Metallica was a successor to Led Zepplin/ Diamond Head only for 5 albums.

motleycruemetalgods987786785463521321245

motleycruemetalgods97899654321312367

Motörhead, Metallica we bands that had a metallic savage factor with sharp effective riffs, during the GOLDEN AGE OF HEAVY METAL FROM August 1st, 1981 to August 1st 1991. There are certain bands I have seen live in concert a billion times, obiviouly were talking about Iron, Metallica, Exodus, Slayer, Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, ManOwaR, Anthrax, LA GUNS, Halloween, Poison, Warrant, Ratt, Dokken, and Pantera, they only band I have seen live a million times over the others is Detroit’s — Halloween THE HEAVY METAL HORRORSHOW. Since I always  owned two houses, since July 1986, always one in Las Vegas, Nevada and the other at the far north end of Sterling Heights, Michigan. I would make my living and work arrangements based around Halloween’s Tour news updates.!!

metallicanolifetilleather989575442a2132434

While Motörhead and ManOwaR were always the best bands LIVE in terms of sonic fury and my ears ringing for days. Mötley Crüe concerts were the most fun ever on PLANT METAL, this time frame in METALLIC MAYHEM history will never be repeated, you can have nostalgia’s, and even create timewarps, as a tribute to the GOLDEN AGE, but what you can never recreate is the decadence of the era, if you meet a different one night stand before during and after a concert from this golden age, that is being with 7500 World-Class Models, Super-Models, Exoctic Dancers that one the greatest gene pool has ever had to offer.

halloweenbrianthomasworldclassvocalistheavymetalhalloffame9999983a95789598423

l So I always will have to laugh that those with one dimensional taste, who refused to go glam metal concerts out of some self loathing self destructive death wish to avoid World-Class women, out of a imaginary integrity. Because they never understood glam metal musician and glam metal fans are and always were pure true alpha-males. One on 1993 Vince Neil Solo Concert Tour, I got over 1000 phone numbers, and that is a lunch date, and a dinner date for over 1 year. Maybe Metallica finally caught on to late what was going on at the Mötley Crüe/ Ratt/ Van Halen/ Halloween/ Poison/ Aerosmith concerts and decided to release the Metallica “Metallica” album.

motleycruemetalgods9879789685786435234313jpg

There has been a 1980’s Metal nostalgia trend real hard to recreate the 1980’s you can recreate, the logo, be a guitar tone clone, even have your CD’s pressed by Nimbus, but what you can never recreate is the environment, for living the live at the fullest potent, living live at the upper 5 percent, having the best college education, the best clothers, the best women, best cars, the best careers, the best houses, the best of everything….!!!

motleycruemetalgods9879789896754634241453

Mötley Crüe was the best thing to ever happen to alpha-males the World-Over….!!! If your life as a metal fan from 1978 flashes before your eyes the best 7,000 or more best memories will be based around  Mötley Crüe, and the best of the best in World-Class Glam Metal.

motleycruegodsmetallegends8978698798696755646344213124243

Artistically, I believe there are a few successors to Mötley Crüe, Edge of Paradise, Diemonds, maybe Steel Panther who have more in common with Spinal Tap more than anything else. !!!

motleycruemetalgods987987976543243

I always was a heavy metal fan who was a thrash metal fan since day one and also a glam metal fan since day 1.  And trust Me Exodus, Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax was for major rager fun, but as the most interesting and smartest man in any room on Planet Metal, I have ultimate respect for Mötley Crüe for having there concerts be 1000% more decadent, and a celebration of life, to the fullest. I will have to laugh at those claiming “heavy metal” integrity for letting 10 or 15 years of the greatest time on PLANET METAL just pass you buy, because you got caught up in subjective non-sense, when objectively it was the once-in-a-life-time chance. And I seized the moment carpe diem one World-Class Model better than the last for 1982–1998 for me non-stop . Maybe I will read some Metallica nostalgia…ha ha !!!!!!

carlaharveyworldclassvocalistbutcherbabiesmetallegend99998i6742321323123131123455dsdsdMetal Wani conducted an interview with BUTCHER BABIES frontwomen Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey on April 22 at the Underworld in London, England. You can now watch the chat below. A couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).On how the writing and recording of 2015’s “Take It Like A Man” was different from the making of 2013’s “Goliath”:

Carla: “Well, it was different, because with ‘Goliath’, we had our whole lives to write that album. We had lyrics from when we were teenagers on that album, and we had been together as a band for years, so we had songs stockpiled. With ‘Take It Like A Man’, we had been on tour for so many years that we didn’t have that same, you know, [batch of already completed] songs to go to, so we had to write the album on the road and stolen moments on days off, and then we had a little bit of time in the summer and then we wrote it in the studio. So it was a very different process. And I was really worried about it. It was a little frustrating to actually do it in that small amount of time. But that added pressure just kind of helped us really dig out this great stuff. And I’m so proud of the album and the way that it came out. And lyrically, the album, it has a lot of different emotions on it than ‘Goliath’ did, because on this album, we wrote a lot about these new feelings that we’ve had, being alienated away from our family and friends at home, with being on the road so often. So while it still kind of tips into how we felt growing up and different emotions, it definitely kind of has more adult emotions about, like I said, our current situation.”

On being females in a male-dominated industry:

Heidi: “I think right now we’re in a really, really interesting time with females in the metal genre, in the rock genre. You see more females involved in metal now than, I think, you’ve ever seen, and it seems like girls are feeling more comfortable being, like, ‘Yeah, I love this and I can do it.’ And other girls do it. And I think that there’s a shift happening where it’s becoming more accepted and people are very open-minded to [the idea of females in rock bands]. They don’t think just ’cause you’re a girl that it’s gonna be, you know, shitty. [Laughs]”

On BUTCHER BABIES’ plans for a new album:

Carla: “We are taking the whole summer off to write a kick-ass third album and get some rest and relaxation.”

Heidi: “We’re so excited. When we get back from this tour, we have two days [off] and then we’re out with LACUNA COIL for a couple of weeks. But we’re excited to really dive in and write a really, really great third album. We are so lucky that we have this ability to… that people allow us to actually write music and put it out. It’s so cool. So, I think, for us, the writing process is really, really fun, and we’re excited for the summer. And then in the fall, we’ll be back out, and we’ll probably be back over here at some point. [Laughs]”

“Take It Like A Man” was produced by Logan Mader, who has previously worked with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, DEVILDRIVER, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and GOJIRA.

Butcher Babies BIO

“Taken at face value, GOLIATH is the monstrous debut from one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the Los Angeles metal scene since System Of A Down turned the city on end nearly twenty years ago. But scratch beneath the surface and the haunting story behind GOLIATH blurs in and out of horrific focus, examining the ruins of an American culture obsessed with apocalyptic carnage. GOLIATH was born in the bleak wasteland where the more savage your act, the more celebrated you become – and in a world where the miserable feel obliged to retaliate, the BUTCHER BABIES shatter the dementia with molten fury and unbridled sonic bliss.

Hailing from the City Of Angels, the BUTCHER BABIES offer redemption from the overplayed underground, exorcising demons with a visceral sound matched only in scope by their explosive stage show. Frontwomen Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd, guitarist Henry Flury [Amen], bassist Jason Klein [Azdachao] and drummer Chris Warner [Scars of Tomorrow] juxtapose brutal, aggressive riffs with beautiful melodies that wail with anguish and hope for redemption.

The band signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records in December 2012, and a month later hit the road with Marilyn Manson on what proved to be one of the new year’s most talked about tours. The run was a return to form for Manson and a call to arms for the BUTCHER BABIES, who honed their razor-sharp riffs and soul-searing vocals in front of live audiences as a source of manic pre-production. Only days after wrapping the tour in the City Of Sin, the band was in an L.A. studio with producer Josh Wilbur [Gojira, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed] recording the debut album that has the metal community buzzing.

The eleven-track opus chronicles the story of the forsaken as they transform into GOLIATH – monsters that society has built, and monsters that turn to society for retribution. Suddenly opening track “I Smell A Massacre” is more than just shock rock, casting a cautionary tale to anyone in screaming distance. And once it sinks in that GOLIATH is more than just a figment of our imagination, the rest of the album becomes all the more real.

“Magnolia Blvd” is about the demons that coexist around us all, while “Grim Sleeper” is unsettling and haunting, an angelic intro quickly pulverized by a repressed memory so real we feel the victim’s cries. “In Denial” couples blood-curdling angst with more of the melodies that showcase the BUTCHER BABIES unique, two-frontwoman lineup at its most profound – singing and screaming trading hope and rage like caged souls fighting for freedom. “Give Me Reason” bounces hard and fast with hell-bent fury, “The Mirror Never Lies” assaults our reflection with an ominous and catchy chorus, and “The Deathsurround” showcases the band at perhaps its most intense with a song as heavy and brutal as the title suggests.

BUTCHER BABIES celebrate the July 9 release of GOLIATH as part of the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, where they are a mainstay on the Jagermeister stage and spend the summer alongside heavyweights including Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Machine Head, Mastodon and Amon Amarth.

With an unrelenting delivery and uncompromising intent to melt faces, GOLIATH is more than just a record – it is the growing enemy that angers, drives and inspires the BUTCHER BABIES. GOLIATH is our common enemy, and BUTCHER BABIES have arrived to deliver the soundtrack that will lead us into battle… ”

Metallica

Master of Puppets

100 out of 100 BLOOD DRIPPING SKULLS

TOP 100 HEAVY METAL ALBUMS OF ALL-TIME.

carlaharveykickassmetalhallofame2015a98958795849846847

Collectors Corner revolves around the TOP 100 HEAVY METAL Albums of all-time, and since I have been a metal fan since August 1978. I know first hand which albums are considered TIMELESS MASTERPIECES.

For some reason Record collectors of any 1980’s STYLE OF HEAVY METAL, Heavy/ Speed/ Power / Thrash / Death / Black Metal, just refused to go back in time, and spend some money, on the legendary HEAVY METAL fanzines.

In 2001, there was a news Story of Metallica ReMasters, the story was about the 1995 Metallica ReMasters, the address on the backlayout of those edtions say 345 Maple Road. But as LUCK would have it. There were new ReMasters of “Ride The Lightning” and “Master of Puppets” from a label called DCC Records.

I grabbed all 3 DCC 24 Karat GOLD DISC of each, Metallica “Ride The Lightning” and Metallica “Master of Puppets” since all that the Heavy Metal Records specialist shop had at the time. Those who only collect “only first pressings” are crazy fuckers. Your crazy if you passed on these 2001 ReMasters only because those albums were pressed in 1984 and 1986.

Since Metallica was one of the most important metal band of fans of HEAVIER heavy metal, for me I became a fan of Metallica in 1982 like Most Metallica fans back then, from the demo-era. They became a world famous heavy metal band, before they even had a debut album out. And I experienced 1980’s Metal in real time. There was a highly influential magazine back then, which started August 1981. Which spawned lots of imitators.

So no matter what, I always knew how KILLER and WORLD-CLASS the band was, and for some reason a metal encyclopedia, decided to let every and anyone, write record reviews. And one of the worst ones ever written was by a poser Jake The Flake Ultraboris.

At first the dude was trying to imitate Laurent Ramadier of Snakepit fame, with a touch of Brian Russ of BNR pages, obviously this dude, was never a metal fan back in the 1980s. And when he was slandering bands on Blabbermouth his first screen name was Jake The Flake, where he was trying to champion TRADITIONAL HEAVY METAL.

One Blabbermouth which was designed specifically as a place to slander artist. Artist who had a love / hate relationship with most of the record buying public.

With Metal fans, Blabbermouth was based out of  America, and Americans are not European Flavored Heavy Metal fans. America is home of awesome Hard Rock. So Jake The Flake could never get the bands he loved to be liked by the readers of blabbermouth.

He Sold out and changed his name to Metal Fans are Morons, and became a pop/punk rocker. And would attack every band he had previously championed.

So this dude Ultraboris, Jake The Flake and Metal Fans are Morons, had to be the same person, because of the writing style. He was a contributor to Metal Archives and was on Blabbermouth all the time. So I noticed his pretentious bullshit no matter what he tried to pass himself off as.

The Owners of Metal Archives are fucked in the head, if they think they have and credibility in the heavy metal genre as a source , they have been fucked since day one. Metal Archives has various rip off schemes that happen during the eBay madness era of eBay, the early years where people would write 100 out of 100 reviews, just to unload albums that dodged the delete bins. And all the top 100 heavy metal albums, have strange and bizarre scores over at the so-called “Metal Archives”.

I have nothing against the metal archives, they hire people for free who have no business writing record reviews, to people who are trying to figure out what style of music they are fans of. It is a double rip-off for everyone.

But any metal fan of heavy metal since 1980, 1990, who says they do not own every world-wide pressing of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets”. Are liars and full of shit.

And all those poor reviews over there are the dudes who want to horde the collector items of that legendary album, the low score is to fool you, in the event, you are at a record convention and see Metallica “Master of Puppets” in every world-wide pressing. Your a dumb ass if your really believe that 85 out  of 100 average score from the metal archives. And your even dumber if you pass up on the once in a life time chance to own 1st pressings or collectors item this legendary item.

Below is a record review from a Metal fan who tried to emulate 1980s elitist but made the comment on Blabbermouth under the screenname metal fans are morons, that Blink182 are the best band of all-time. When the month before this he was screaming about how everyone should be a Crystal Viper fan. I may take down that fraudulent record review (by ULTRABORIS), one day. But it serves as a example for every journalist, only support the artist and the albums which you have spent your own money on.

The Reason I tell everyone to buy 30 Copies of Nervosa “Victim of Yourself” and Exodus “Bonded By Blood” and Ozzy Osbourne “Blizzard of Ozz” is  because I have done so myself.

BELOW IS THE WORST RECORD REVIEW ever WRITTEN, a tie with the bullshit that Dave Reynolds pulled on Celtic Frost “Into The Pandemonium” in 1987. Since I seen this fraud pulled by Dave Reynolds, the Ultraboris fraud was easy to spot.

Below the Ultraboris review would of never been printed, buy a magazine in 1986, because they would of been ran out of the music business.

Metal Archives knows they would never make it as a print edition magazine. Since they do not know what they are talking about, or what they are doing. So if they ever put there webzine to print, they would go out of business before the 1st edtion hit the newsstand, you don’t trust metal archives, I don’t trust metal archives, and you know it.

In 1986 when this album  was released everyone in Junior High School, High School, College or and those in the know in the blue-collar work force. Ran or drove to the record store, as fast as they could. Just a historical fact.

carlaharveykickassmetalhalloffamemember2015@999987957846

(…..we pulled the ultra boris review section…….his writing lacks any World-Class quality…editor….)

THERE IS EVEN A MORE FRADULENT REVIEW, that this ultraboris (the ultra boris review section was deleted, it lacked authenticity, based in revisionism and contained historical errors and contained anachronisms -editor) By Dave Reynolds Metal Forces fame, I will have to put that up one next year when we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Celtic Frost’s ” Into The Pandemonium”
