Fans new heavy metal Warlock & Doro is one of the few Heavy Metal bands that have a stellar, perfect career for over 30 years plus, ala Motörhead.
This is one of the best highlights of heavy metal this year alongside the Leather “Leather II” album, 2018 is a stellar year in heavy metal, and “Forever Warriors, Forever United” is a “must have” album, as a life long fan of Acid, Bitch, Hellion, Warlock, Chastain, Doro, as well as new METAL GODS, Savage Master, Lady Beast, Sign of the Jackal and the likes. This album is just pure fun as it is serious heavy metal art of the highest order.
FUCKING ESSENTIAL ALBUM

DORO Pesch is a living legend! And now the entire world knows it, after the “Queen of Rock & Metal” has received her first ever “Legends-Award” at England’s renowned “Golden Gods Awards” on July 17th 2013 at O2 Arena, London. On September 13th in Berlin 2013 DORO received the “Legend” Award from Metal Hammer Germany.
A true highlight of a career, already going on for three decades.
DORO can look back at a really unique journey in the music business. DORO, in numbers this means: Gold and platinum awards for about 10 million sold records, over 2.800 live shows on four continents and in 60 different countries of this world, 16 studio records, four DVD’s. Countless cover stories on all important Music Magazines and millions of overwhelmed fans around the globe.
At the age of 16 DORO started playing in her first bands, but the story of her success began with her band WARLOCK in 1982 and the first album “Burning The Witches”, 1983: the first steps of a world career, that in 1986 got her to perform at the legendary “Monsters of Rock” Festival at British Castle Donnington, as the first ever female musician – and in front of 120.000 frenetic fans.
The same year DORO and WARLOCK took the chance to support JUDAS PRIEST on a world tour. At this point DORO decided to finally quit her job as a graphic designer and to entirely enter the music business, with all her heart, body and soul. On giant world tours in the USA, South America, China, Japan, Australia and Europe DORO conquered a huge fan base. In Spain and Russia she is worshiped like a goddess. Additionally she has done mega-tours with icons such as Ronnie James Dio, the SCORPIONS or MOTÖRHEAD.
DORO and WARLOCK recorded a total of four studio records and had their international breakthrough in 1987 with “Triumph & Agony”. Shortly before, DORO had moved from Düsseldorf to New York, where she is still living today. “Triumph & Agony” has sold over three million copies and reached worldwide gold and platinum status. This masterpiece includes two mega-hits written by DORO herself: ‘All We Are’ and ‘Für Immer’. Up to this very day, those two songs are highlight of every single show.
In 1989 the followup “Force Majeur” continued the mega-success of “Triumpf & Agony” and entered the German Media Control Charts on #5, reaching gold status within just 14 days.
1990 the self-titled record DORO followed, which has been produced in L.A. by no one less than KISS-mastermind Gene Simmons, who is one of her musical idols and added numerous songs to the album.
“True at Heart” was produced in 1991 by famous Barry Beckett (Producer for e.g. THE ROLLING STONES). During the cause of the 90s, more outstanding records like “Angels Never Die” and “Machine to Machine” and the incomparable Love “Me In Black” followed.
In 1994 DORO received a well-deserved recognition, as she has been awarded a “Female Artist of the Year” at the most important German Music Award “Echo”. She has been nominated for the “Echo” eight times by now.
In the Czech Republic she won the title of “Sexiest Woman Alive” at Spark-Magazine.
“Calling The Wild” in the year 2000 was another milestone, including ‘Love Me Forever’ and ‘Alone Again’: The first ever duets of DORO. Recorded with the awesome Lemmy Kilmister of MOTÖRHEAD, she shares a longtime friendship with. Another close friend of DORO is 13-time World Boxing Champion Regina Halmich. A total of four entry hymns was created: ‘All We Are’, ‘Fight’, ‘She’s Like Thunder’ und ‘The Queen’.
In 2004 out of her love for animals and several performances at the beneficial concert „Rock für Tiere“ („Rock for Animals“), where she played with the Metal Classic Night Orchester, the idea was born to produce the sucessful “Classic Diamonds” Album and DVD , which feature DOROs biggest hits in a classical style. In August of 2004 fans at Wacken Open Air were witnesses to DORO performing along with a 60-piece orchestra.
In 2006 DORO proves her talent as an actress, as she takes on the female lead of Meha in Luke Gassers movie Anuk – Der Weg eines Kriegers (Anuk – The Way of a Warrior). At the same time DORO composed her first Movie Soundtrack – “Warrior Soul”. The albums’ titel track was also used as the movies’ theme. 2012/13 DORO returns to the big screen, again in the role of Meha for the sequel, which will celebrate its debut in 2014.
Talking about celebratin – on December 13th 2003 DORO had her first big celebration. For her 20-years anniversary at Philipshalle Düsseldorf, star guests like Biff Byford, Lemmy and Udo Dirkschneider entered the stage to congratulate her.
The same day five years later, on December 13th 2008 at ISS Dome Düsseldorf, guests like the SCORPIONS, Tarja Turunen and many more were on stage together with DORO. The entire show is available on the DVD “DORO – 25 years in Rock”.
At the same time the 2008 single release ‘Celebrate’ of the “Fear No Evil”-album was becoming a hit in Spain, where ‘Celebrate’ was in the top ten for seven weeks. Spain is inhabited by one of DOROs strongest fan bases. Readers of Spanish Metal magazine “Heavy Rock” voted DORO as best female vocalist 17 times (!) to this date.
In early 2009 “Fear No Evil” entered the German charts at #11.
On March 13th, 2012 DORO celebrated her 2.500 concert in her hometown Düsseldorf.
The summer of 2010 saw the Metal-Queen sign a new record deal with Nuclear Blast, the leading German label for Rock and Metal (NIGHTWISH, ACCEPT etc.).
Her current album “Raise Your Fist” also entered the Top 20 in October 2012. The new album is surely another highlight of DOROs carreer. With “Raise Your Fist” she does not only gather super stars like Lemmy (Duet on the emotional ballad It Still Hurts) and Gus G (Guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne), but also offers a new hymn as strong as All We Are. Additionally DORO dedicates the song ‘Freiheit – Human Rights’ to the human rights organization “Terre Des Femmes”, who’s ambassador DORO has been since 2009.
The current year 2013 is entirely dedicated the metal Queens’ big 30-years “Throne-Jubilee”. The first act of celebration will take place on August 2nd at the 24th W:O:A, where DORO is headlining for the 5th time in front of 80.000 fans. Following Wacken Open Air will be an extended European Tour during autumn with special anniversary gigs.
The current DORO-band consists of Nick Douglas (Bass), Johnny Dee (Drums), Bas Maas (Guitars), Luca Princiotta (Guitars, Keyboard) and Harrison Young (Keyboard).
To top it all, DORO will return to her hometown Düsseldorf on May 2nd and 3rd 2014 for two concert nights, performing a Classic Night (02.05.2014) and a voll power Rock’n’Roll Show (03.05.2014) with illustrious star guests, celebrating her big anniversary………..

Beneath the tranquil veneer of the picturesque beachside town of Ventura, California, something dangerous lurks in the shadows…
Night Demon erupted onto the underground heavy metal scene with their self-titled four-song EP in 2012. This recording showcased a sound forged by a deep-seated passion for the New Wave of British Heavy Metal loaded with unmistakable notes of American muscle and swagger.
Listeners around the globe were captivated by this fresh take on a revered sound, and a notable street buzz soon followed. In 2014, the band’s momentum continued trending upwards, when they landed support slots on the US tours for Diamond Head and Raven, as well as launching the first of many DIY van tours across Europe that summer. This European jaunt strung together several festival appearances, and was complimented by gigs in every city, town and hole-in-the-wall village they could find. This became the blueprint for the band’s subsequent trips to Europe in 2014 and cemented Night Demon’s reputation, both at home and abroad, for being an incendiary, must-see live act with a tireless work ethic.
The next milestone in Night Demon’s career arc was the release of their first full-length album in January 2015 via Century Media in the USA and SPV/Steamhammer in Europe. Entitled Curse of the Damned, the record refined the band’s trademark sound heard on the Night Demon EP, while continuing to cut across generational and genre-dividing lines. Besides garnering widespread critical acclaim, Curse of the Damned also inspired fanatical devotion amongst the heavy metal faithful – the record was voted the #1 album of 2015 by listeners of WCJU’s Metal on Metal radio show in Cleveland, Ohio. Promotion for the new record began with the band crisscrossing the United States multiple times for the better part of two years, headlining shows and appearing alongside heavyweights such as Carcass and Crowbar. The band’s relentless touring in the European Market paid off and they scored a high-profile appearance on the main stage at Germany’s Bang Your Head!!! Festival in July 2016.
Never a band to follow the expected trajectory, Night Demon has forged their own path bringing their distinct brand of heavy metal heat to more people in more places – including those less traversed and off the beaten path. The band has completed two tours in Mexico, and, in early 2017, a run of 20 dates in South and Central America, including ten shows in Brazil alone! With each successive tour, Night Demon’s live show has incorporated additional production elements, including innovative lighting, visual effects and the nightly onstage appearance of the band’s black-cloaked skeletal mascot, Rocky, to haunt, goad and tempt concertgoers into drinking from the chalice.
Night Demon stands on the precipice of their biggest album and touring cycle yet. With their second full-length, aptly entitled Darkness Remains, the true defenders of the night are poised to bring their volatile stage show and fist pumping, neck wrecking, Heavy Metal sound to audiences the world round.
Darkness Remains delivers all the expected NWOBHM-inspired thrills and chills, but also sees members, Jarvis Leatherby (vocals/bass), Armand John Anthony (guitar), and Dusty Squires (drums), honing their songwriting chops. Not only has the band’s overall sound matured, but the individual members have carved out their own niches, sharpened their attack, and even taken some chances along the way. Boasting a full, powerful, and clear production that retains a raw edginess, Darkness Remains sets the gold standard for how a traditional metal record should sound in 2017.
These unrelenting road warriors show no sign of slowing down and will kick off the new album cycle with a national U.S. tour alongside Anvil in spring 2017. Numerous global festival appearances have also been confirmed—including amongst others, Frost and Fire, Defenders of the Old, Maryland Death Fest’s Days of Darkness in America, Up the Hammers in Greece, Pounding Metal in Spain, Very ‘Eavy in the Netherlands, Keep It True, Rock Hard and Party San Metal Open Air in Germany. For Night Demon, no stage is too small and no stage is too large. They will take them all by storm. Welcome to the blessed night……..

East coast death metal scene has poured forth some seriously formidable bands over the last decade, but there are few none (they have the GREATEST DEATH METAL BAND OF ALL-TIME RANKING IN HEAVY METAL @ KICK ASS METAL—–editor) that can match the sheer visceral power and razor sharp songwriting skills of Marlborough, Massachusetts’ Abnormality.
Marrying the ceaseless brutality coming out of New York and New England to the hyper-blasting intensity endemic to Quebecois death metal, the quintet deliver music that is as unrelenting as it is passionate, and with their second full-length, Mechanisms Of Omniscience, they deliver a defiant blow.
“The album is total death metal, no bullshit, no fancy shine. This is an album for the blue collar worker who’s killing him or herself to live, and the kid stuck at home who’s listening on headphones,” states bassist Josh Staples. Moreover, tackling real world issues with intelligence and raw emotion, they create music that both moves and matters. “I am interested in the true nature of the world, the power structure and why the world is the way it is. There are many illusions out there, or blatant lies, rewritten history, and I do my own investigations and attempt to see through falsities. I want to know about human nature, how and why people can be cruel to each other, and why there is so much suffering in the world,” states vocalist Mallika Sundaramurthy, who splits lyric writing duties with drummer Jay Blaisdell. “We write about the destruction of humanity, but we are not for the destruction of humanity.“
Formed in 2005, the band drew its members from the ranks of units such as Teratism, Forced Asphyxiation, Goratory and Sexcrement, and they have worked patiently and persistently to build up a grassroots following, maintaining their integrity while steadily expanding beyond their local scene. While initially envisaged as a side project between Sundaramurthy, Blaisdell and guitarist Jeremy Henry, their intent was to write high quality, technical and heavy music, and as this crystallized a desire to bombard audiences grew. In 2010 they dropped their debut EP The Collective Calm In Mortal Oblivion, which immediately drew attention in the underground, followed by the crushing and critically acclaimed full-length Contaminating The Hive Mind in 2012, cementing their status as one of the heaviest and most dynamic bands in the genre. Importantly, the band have also grown with every release. “Each album has its own feeling and its own variations but remains rooted in the core Abnormality sound,” Sundaramurthy says. “An album documents where we were at in that time and space, what we were thinking and what inspired us then, including world events, politics, and things in our personal lives. There are some consistent elements throughout the discography, but certainly there is an evolution you can follow if you listen to our music chronologically.“
Embracing their network of fans, they have toured extensively and proved themselves a dominating force no matter what size stage they play on, performing from coast to coast and border to border, as well as racking up festival appearances in the United States, Colombia, and Europe. In 2014 they tore up the continent while on the road with Dehumanized, Malignancy and Beneath, and their appearance at The Netherlands’ Neurotic Deathfest was a highpoint for the band. Disinterested in flash-in-the-pan popularity, the band focused on building momentum organically, their reputation growing both through word of mouth and via the many videos posted on YouTube, including the eerie clip for “Monarch Omega“, which has racked up almost 2 million views. With such a fervent following, the band remain fiercely loyal to their fans, reciprocating the love and devotion shown them. “The people who have been with us and supported us from the beginning, it’s crucial to us,” states Henry. “Contrary to popular belief, being a musician in today’s day and age is a shitty prospect. The sacrifices made are overwhelming at times, but it’s those people offering their support that keep you motivated and moving forward, and believing that what you are doing is worthwhile despite an increasingly materialistic and shallow society.“
While 2018 marks the 13th year of Abnormality‘s existence, the savage anger and urgency driving Mechanisms Of Omniscience is the sound of the hungriest of bands, generating an intoxicating energy. With the lineup solidifying with recent addition Sam Kirsch on guitar, the band approached the follow up to Contaminating The Hive Mind with the intent of moving their sound forward, and utilizing the skills of every member of the band has always been important to the Abnormality creative process. “Our newest member, Sam, gave us a new perspective and influence,” adds Henry. “Everyone contributes to the writing process, and it was only natural that someone coming from a different place musically would have an impact on the end result. I think the push and pull from our members’ differing opinions and musical influences lend itself to the musical compositions evolving from song to song and record to record.” This approach ensures that only the strongest emotions are pushed to the surface. Through focusing on individual songs rather than planning out a whole album in advance, it makes for more potent and dynamic songwriting, and by the time they headed into the studio with longtime producer Peter Rutcho, they had ten killer tracks ready to be laid down. “Rutcho has been with us for years now, and that type of familiarity and comfort level cannot be replaced,” says Henry. “He knows all of us in and out, all of our flaws and strengths. He really put his mark on this record as well– there was a lot of sonic production that went into it where his creativity was crucial.” The result of this meeting of minds really does see the band elevated to the proverbial next level. The floodgates open with “Swarm“, a frenzied and contorted sonic assault that destroys everything in its path, and from there on out they don’t let up. Music is rarely uglier or more scathing than that unleashed on “Irreversible”; the grooves and atmospheric textures blended with unrepentant hostility on “Synthetic Pathogenesis” are almost overwhelming, and by the time apocalyptic closer “Consuming Infinity” collapses under its sheer sonic weight, the listener is left feeling brutalized. Still, the music is only part of the picture, and every lyric Sundaramurthy wraps her ferocious roar around is rooted in the ideology of the band. At the core of this is the title track, penned by Blaisdell. “The chorus is ‘The abuse absolute, like a tumor you can’t remove, this cancer spreads to every organ. This prison we live in, mechanisms of omniscience, relying on uniform ignorance’, and the song is about the well established order of control and power in the world,” the drummer explains. “It’s about the people who have the real power and their means and methods of control over us, and how those methods require a level of ignorance on our part in order to be successful. The methods, or mechanisms, exist in many forms. It’s unavoidable and invasive. From the endless wars and atrocities, to the fractional reserve debt slavery, the rigged elections and the criminals who are supposed to represent us, or the blatant spying on everyone and everything by intelligence agencies that are completely out of control. These are just a few of many enormous problems that have grown beyond repair. Mechanisms Of Omniscience is about a monolithic system of control that is so advanced that it not only successfully ensures the same sadistic fucks maintain the power and control they’ve always had, it also does this while convincing everyone else to enjoy their own subjugation, the illusion of being free.” Sundaramurthy concurs with this, and all of the lyrics she writes come from a similarly critical stance, cutting through the lies, and dissecting complex issues without flinching– yet while there are elements of bleakness to this, it is not the whole picture. “My lyrics are rooted in realism, investigation of our reality, spirituality, with a tinge of idealism. I’m curious about where humans came from, where civilization is going, and all the darkness that goes along with those things. I like to look straight into the void of reality, past, present and future, and not shy away from it. Though this may sound nihilistic, I stand for finding and speaking truth, however dreadful it may be. I believe in morality, and in helping the oppressed and voiceless.“
Adding a further dimension to the album’s impact is the artwork, which was also created by Sundaramurthy. While embodying an old school spirit there is something immediate and contemporary about it, encapsulating the violence of the music beyond this image. “I am inspired by old school death metal album covers and also dark fantasy and surrealist artists, such as Zdzisław Beksiński, Wayne Barlowe, and Dan Seagrave, and I went for an abstract approach with the album cover. It is meant to represent the dark emotions and cover some different themes throughout the album songs.“
Armed with the record, and thrilled to have Metal Blade behind them, the band have never been as serious about getting their message out there, as well as ensuring legions of the moshing masses incur whiplash, bloody noses and blown MCLs in the best way possible. While they are understandably proud of the hard work they have put in over the years and the finished product that is Mechanisms Of Omniscience, in many ways they are just getting started. “We would like to keep evolving our brand of aggressive, technical, yet atmospheric death metal into new and unexplored territory,” says Sundaramurthy, but their intentions go much deeper than this, and she makes it clear that the drive and purpose pushing the members of Abnormality has never been more urgent. “The American dream is dead, illusions and fallacies are being exposed; the masses have been sold out to the corporate elite, the planet is being ransacked, and we’re all fucked. We have never been more pissed off and inspired to spread our music and our vision of the brutal realities of our world. The machine that is Abnormality has only gotten stronger and louder over the years. We won’t let up until we leave our mark on the metal scene, and the world.”

World Wide Ranking as the greatest Death Metal
Vocalist of all-time. There is a KICK*ASS*METAL Heavy
Metal Hall of Fame Wing Named in her honor in these
No real way to say this but as always i tell the fucking truth…whoa relax music is a subjective experiecne, i do enter it from the objective side, based on my own personal taste, then i lets go and go all in from the subjective side of things. I will never forget the time i seen Witchcross on a top 40 best bands on the planet list in a actual heavy metal print edition fanZine. I feel out of my chair, not out of shock because i knew it the author who made that top 40 list was dead on correct and dead on right, that publication has the same on target taste as this one. KICK ASS METAL and our Heavy Metal Hall of Fame, which is just a few of my 30,000 feet music libraries, the music libraries are the few golden ages of heavy metal that i collect, the obvious one is the golden age of riff metal — August 1st, 1981 to October 31st, 1986. This golden age is based around the greatest metal publication of its day…. The August 1st, 1981 date is when Glam Metal and Extreme Metal got its first news distribution networks. Glam Metal with MTV, Extreme Metal with Print Media, and Word of Mouth.
I guess i have to state the obvious on the traditional RIFF metal top 100 list there are 2 Witchcross — Witch Cross
Entries. The 1st one is Witch Cross from Denmark, who released the GODLY top 100 Heavy Metal album even to this day “Fit For Fight” featuring World-Class Vocalist Alex Savage, this is something I can not hide, since that band has been on top 100 albums of all-time list since mid-July 1984, so with that fact out of the way.
The Metal Gods Witchcross from Chicago Illinois released there debut album 10 years a self-titled effort. 10 Years after unleashed on Planet Metal Witch Cross “Fit for Fight”, Both bands have essential MUST HAVE back catalogs.
Witchcross — Witch Cross
I could of left this alone but since they are both on our top 100 heavy metal albums of all-time list, something had to be said, and what had to be said, is buy all 6 of the albums on Heavy Metal’s TOP 100 Heavy Metal Albums of all-time list.
WITCHCROSS• Witchcross (Chicago, Illinois)
WITCHCROSS • Innocent & Evil (Chicago, Illinois)
WITCHCROSS • Crypt of The Undead (Chicago, Illinois)
WITCHCROSS • Cauldron In Satan’s Shadow (Chicago, Illinois)
WITCH CROSS • Fit for Fight (Copenhagen, Denmark)
WITCH CROSS • Axe to Grind (Copenhagen, Denmark)
As luck would have it for Metallers Witchcross and Witch Cross both have albums out this year. Witchcross has 2. The self-titled debut album, as a reissue on I HATE RECORDS and the upcoming album “Cauldron In Satan’s Shadow”. Witch Cross has the debut album “Fit for Fight” on the GODLY High Roller Records in a Slipcase CD, the previous represses were by Hell’s Headbangers and Old Metal Records.
I wanted to state for the record of heavy metal history how many bands from Illinois are on heavy metal’s top 100 heavy metal albums list of all-time.
Coven featuring Jinx Dawson, Trouble “Psalms 9″….., Death Strike, Master, the GODLY Sindrome with the Ressurection…. compliation from a couple years ago of those legendary demos (1987 & 1991), Witchcross featuring The Metal Masters, Count William Jannusch-vocals, Dereck Anderson-guitars, Roger Massey-bass, Gary Pedersoli-drums. And lets not forget Genocide, and all-time favorites Zoetrope, who played a killer form of “Street Metal”
So more surreality in heavy metal history on July 7th, 2018 Coven “Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls” is our WINNER for best reissue of 2018,
will have 2 albums in our top 100 for the year 2018 The Witchcross “Witchcross” I Hate Records Verion, and the upcoming Witchcross “Cauldron In Satan’s Shadow”

Witchcross are a long running classic doom metal band from the Chicago area that have been putting on infamously macabre Horror Doom Metal shows for two decades, and whom lead singer Count William Jannusch, also known from another horror metal band, Ravensthorn, originated from and once again is focused more than ever on. Currently Witchcross have released the very Horror and Occult based “Crypt of the Undead” album(2015), but their history is very fascinating.
Nocturnal Doom was a band formed by lead vocalist/song writer Count William Jannusch in 1987, at the age of fifteen. The line-up changed several times before lead guitarist Dereck Anderson joined and the band recorded the “Shades Of Despair” album in 1991 with Dan Lamb-drums, and Gary Oakley-bass. After gigging all over Chicago and Indiana, playing all age metal clubs and roller rinks, the band developed a strong following. Soon problems with the line-up began again, and Dereck and Bill decided to hire a new drummer and bassist.
Soon after, the band recruited drummer Gary Pedersoli and bassist Roger Massey in the Summer of 1992, and the band changed their name to Witchcross. By the end of the year, they had a whole albums’ worth of original material and were also playing a catalogue of Ozzy era Black Sabbath classics live too.
In 1993, Witchcross recorded their debut self titled album in a local college recording studio and heavily released it on professionally printed cassettes and later cds. Then heavy live concert gigging began again.
Over the years the band continued to do shows all over the Chicago,IL. and Indiana area. Band members also split into other band projects over the years, while still regrouping to perform with Witchcross. Count William Jannusch did Ravensthorn(who went on to release three albums..”House Of The Damned”(2002-now currently re-released as a remastered edition cd-2015), “Hauntings And Possessions”(2004-followed by a four day stay overseas for a two date festival concert performance in Germany in 2005), and “Horrors Of The Black Mass”(2012) ) and also in the years before that, Shadowlord(playing and recording regularly throughout the middle nineteen nineties, releasing a full album self titled cd in 2000). Dereck did The Devil Inside and they released a very bluesy cd album. Witchcross always reunited and performed more concerts, as well as writing a myriad of new original material, and performing as a Black Sabbath tribute band at many other shows.
By 2008, Witchcross decided to record another album that would be entitled “Innocence And Evil”, and released it professionally on cd, self financed, and distributed through underground distros and local record stores. Many more live concert performances continued on a regular basis, though also once again the band began focusing more on other band projects and kinda slowed down, Count William once again drifted further into Ravensthorn, with the band playing out a lot more and becoming immersed in the band’s “Horrors Of The Black Mass” album project and promotional live concert shows that went on for a few years at several studios before being released in 2012, though during this time Witchcross was still playing out live on a regular basis between Ravensthorn(heavy metal band) shows…
When Witchcross began the recording for 2014’s “Crypt Of the Undead” album at Chicago’s The Dead Room Studios with engineer producers Joe Duhr and Chad Elliott, and final mastering done by Sasch Machyne (of Mighty Monster Records-Germany). They wanted to properly capture the band’s live sound, and they finally did. For once the band was 100% focused and also captured in a recording properly, and wickedly in the right way..
Currently, in 2015, Witchcross has released a very heavy and Occult based third album of wickedly produced Horror Doom Metal Musick, working together stronger than ever, a 13 song album, called “Crypt Of The Undead” on Germany’s Metalizer/Battle Cry Records, and also performing many new concert shows all over the place. Another very heavy new Witchcross record will be in the works…………..
Every-time a top 100 heavy metal artist releases a new album, were obliviously talking about Hard Rock/Heavy Metal GODS AND LEGENDS Halestorm. There will be a underrating on the album because of a jealousy factor, or they are upset that Halestorm would have such a high ranking in metal publication. For right now, I love this album it has been along-time since the last album which was unleashed on Planet Metal on April 10th, 2015. And just whoa….glad to be a life for this album, the 2013—2018 is my favorite era in heavy metal which has been known as the GOLDEN AGE OF TRUE METAL, for 5 years now….a golden age with no end in sight.
Nostalgia has hit my hard for Halestorm, where i just want to play just the 1st three albums non-stop, but dam this album has a authenticity and a heaviness that makes this there best album, even if the 1st 3 are favorites. I know the Objective/ Subjective Divide. I pick album from the objective standard, which everyone learned from reading fanzines during the NWOBHM and POWER METAL and THRASH METAL-era’s. But when i love certain riffs and hooks, these albums just naturally will get the most heavy play list rotation. I also learned the objective standard from studying music theory my 6 years as a classically trained vocalist.
This album has a powerful driving force or a metallic drive, as well as killer vocals, and hooks that will never leave you….I figure by mid August this album will be committed to complete memory.
Lzzy Hale is one of the Greatest Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal Vocalist since Joan Jett, who is a foundation artist to this webZine and tons of others METAL PUBLICATIONS who go back to the beginning of this genre Coven (Occult Rock) and Black Sabbath (The 1st Heavy Metal Band on Friday the 13th, February 13th, 1970). The book Encyclopedia Metallica got alot of things wrong…..
For this Century, Lzzy Hale will be the foundation artist not just for a few fan-clubs for World-Class Heavy Metal appreciation societies, but for those who are now 18-28, who want to be metal journalist in the future. Joan Jett/ Lzzy Hale go hand in hand, and that is the highest compliment anyone will ever earn in life. Today’s generation has Halestorm, when i was a teenager we had The Runaways and Van Halen.
Hopefully this album will do well for Halestorm and l@@king for the successor to “Vicious”
What every does not kill you makes you “Vicious” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This album RULES and is 110% KICK ASS HEAVY METAL, Halestorm is a perfect blend between Hard Rock Virtuosity and Talent, and pedal to the metal metallic mayhem. With a perfect guitar tone, and a 1 -in-a-million World-Class Vocalist. Perhaps a 1-in-a-hundred-billion once in a life-time talent !!!!! Halestorm will have plenty or successors in the future !!!!

Whiplash “Power in Pain”, Metallica “Kill ’em All”, Razor “Executioners’ Song”, Acid “Maniac”, Vectom “Rules of Mystery, Wardance “Heaven is for Sale” Warhead “The Day After”, Destructor “Maximum Destruction”, Exciter “Heavy Metal Maniac”, Demona “Metal Through The Time”, Demona “Speak With The Devil” Agent Steel “Skeptics Apocalypse”, Exumer “Possessed By Fire”, Exumer “Rising From the Sea” …. This is the World-Class Heavy Metal. Thrash Metal/ Speed Metal, True Essential must have albums. These are the albums that are the best of the best and the greatest albums of all-time. Demona and Outline belong on this list, for obvious reasons, when a vocalist has a unique timbre such as Tanza Speed, it adds to the heaviness, and to the authenticity.
Top 100 Heavy Metal list are easy to compile, just the albums which send chills up and down your spine, that will have you floored and blow your mind. I tried to keep the original top 100 list from the ones FOUND in heavy metal fanzines in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, and the Death Metal-age starting in 1990. I keep the best of the best and the hall of fame albums list, based on successors and predecessors, and of course bands who have their own sound.
I just have it here. As how i would tell you on the streets when you meet me in person. The below list is something you can create off of the top of your head, just look at the floor by your stero. What albums do you see?? And what albums do you have 20-30 copies of. Not gonna really preach on this band or album. Outline and Outline “Fire Whiplash” is just a objective and subjective favorite band, and a total fucking essential album, and will leave it at that. And if you read heavy metal fanzines and not the poor webZines on the internet, you have to know who this band is, and that Tanza Speed is one of the hardest working people in heavy metal no matter what she does, Demona, Outline and Speed Clothing.
Top 100 list look different when you doing just one year, and a top 100 from a golden age of heavy metal, and a top 100 albums of a decade, and a top 100 list of all-time, the key is to have the albums which can be played 4 or 8 times a day and always be in your heavy playlist rotation. And Outline “Fire Whiplash” is one of those albums.
The TOP 100 List I am going to have on this, the best 100 from the 1980-era and the death metal-age era of extreme metal/ true metal, and the albums that are in print are the top 100 albums of all-time in the modern age of heavy metal, and the albums that are in print are the foundational/ fundamental albums for every serious heavy metal collection.
For every sub-genre, heavy metal list their is a different top 100 albums list, we primarily cover Gothic Metal/ Industrial Metal/ Avant-Garde Metal/ Dark Metal/ Occult Metal and are a specialized press publication in that vein, and those artist are on other top 100 albums list, since I know most people want concentrated on there favorite subjective music, but when an album is top-notch, stellar, world-class, no matter what specialized press you are, when an objective metallic masterpiece is unleashed upon planet metal, that has to be the main coverage, no matter what. Expect to see Outline in tons of heavy metal fanzines in the future, myself i only read webZines that had a print edition in 1981, 1988, 1990.
So those fans who i meet on the street always asking me for the best of the best in Power Metal/ Thrash Metal, and Speed Metal. Outline “Fire Whiplash”, is a fucking essential must have heavy metal album. Alot of my favorite albums are in under 30 minutes Slayer “Reign In Blood”, Deicide “Deicide” and Outline “Fire Whiplash”
