First of I would like to say
KICK*ASS*METAL is a TRUE NORWEGIAN GOTHIC METAL publication at it core, and anyone who thinks this band has no business in the pages of KICK*ASS*METAL, because they are NOT GOTHIC enough can f*@K of right away.
We cover all bands THAT RULE THE PLANET METAL.
I have been a METAL FAN since 1980 and a TRUE GOTHIC METAL FAN since day 1 when the first TRUE GOTHIC METAL album was unleashed on PLANET METAL back in 1987.
For those not up on HEAVY METAL and all bands that KICK*ASS
GOOD LUCK opening a HISTROY BOOK on HEAVY METAL and not seeing CHAPTERS about Atrocity, Theatre of Tragedy and Leaves’ Eyes. And GOOD LUCK on finding a HEAVY METAL fanzine without any articles of Atrocity and Theatre of Tragedy, if you find such a magazine, without these World-Class artist use it to pick up cat poop with.
When I was listening for the first time for 24 hours in a row, the first thing I thought.
Man what a f@#*&G KILLER RECORD, something I could put in between SPINS of
Manowar “Into Glory Ride” and Savatage “Hall of The Mountain King”. As well as everything from THE TRUE NORWEGIAN GOTHIC METAL movement.
Since The last time there was a Leave’s Eye album in 2013 the TIMELESSS MASTERPIECE. “Symphonies of The Night”, there was the Liv Kristin “Vervain” album to hold me over until the TIMELESS MASTERPIECE “Kings of Kings” was unleashed on Planet Metal.
And this album exceeds all of my wildest expectations. It is EPIC, and SYMPHONIC and BOMBASTIC and totally a KICK*ASS*METAL album.
